Autoestima en estudiantes del quinto año de secundaria del colegio privado mixto “Inmaculado High School” en el distrito de Barranco

Abstract

El presente proyecto de investigación, es de tipo descriptivo, su diseño es no experimental y el enfoque presentado es cuantitativo, con el fin de determinar los niveles de autoestima, tanto en el ámbito general, como en sus dimensiones de la percepción de sí mismos, del entorno social y ámbito familiar de los estudiantes del quinto grado de educación secundaria del colegio “Inmaculado High School” ubicado en el distrito de Barranco, siendo el instrumento a utilizar para dicho estudio, el Inventario de Autoestima de Coopersmith, validado para el Perú por Alegre (2001). Se trabajó con una muestra censal de sesenta y dos estudiantes entre varones y mujeres, cuyas edades comprendían entre los dieciséis y los diecisiete años de edad. El nivel encontrado en la escala general fue de categoría “Promedio”, del mismo modo, en la dimensión de “Sí mismo o Yo General” se obtuvo la misma categoría diagnóstica, mientras que las dimensiones sociales y familiares, arrojaron la categoría de “Baja Autoestima”.

The present research project is descriptive, its design is non-experimental and the approach presented is quantitative, in order to determine the levels of self-esteem, both in the general field, and in its dimensions of self-perception, of the social environment and family environment of the students of the fifth grade of high school education of the school "Immaculado High School" located in the district of Barranco, being the instrument to be used for this study, the Inventory of Self-esteem of Coopersmith, validated for Peru by Alegre (2001). I worked with a census sample of sixty-two students between men and women, whose ages comprised between sixteen and seventeen years of age. The level found in the general scale was category "Average", in the same way, in the dimension of "Myself or I General" the same diagnostic category was obtained, while the social and family dimensions, gave the category of "Low Self esteem".
